ECTARC delivers the CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care across Australia. Training can commence at any time of the year.
The CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is a nationally recognised qualification from the CHC Community Services Training Package.
In September 2025, Human Ability – the Jobs and Skills Council for education and care – released the new CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, replacing the CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. The new qualification broadens entry requirements by recognising previously completed Certificate III qualifications and valuing the existing skills and experience that educators bring. These changes make enrolling in the Diploma more accessible, streamlined, and cost-effective.
Entry requirements
Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who hold:
- CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care OR CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Alternatively, individuals may hold an Australian diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care OR an Australian diploma or certificate III in Children’s Services AND can also demonstrate at least 12 months of cumulative employment (full-time equivalent) within the last 5 years in a regulated education and care service in Australia, supported by verifiable evidence OR they hold the CHCSS00147 Entry into Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
If you need to demonstrate the 12 months of cumulative employment, this must be supported by verifiable evidence. Acceptable evidence must confirm the information provided above. Acceptable evidence includes a Statutory Declaration signed by the employer or Director of the service at the time you were working, a letter on company letterhead written by the employer or Director at the time or pay slips showing the dates and hours worked (you may remove any references to pay rates).
