About the Role

Originally known as Illawarra Area Child Care (IACC) our organisation was incorporated in October 1985 and have a proud history of providing optimum education and training services.  The organisation was rebranded in bringing together the organisation’s early education and training services under one name. Previously the name ECTARC had been linked to our nationally registered training organisation.

ECTARC is seeking a dedicated, proactive, and conscientious individual with a keen eye for detail to join the payroll team at our Warrawong head office. The Payroll Assistant role is primarily responsible for assisting the Payroll Officer with the processing of ECTARC’s payroll for over 200 employees. Following suitable training you will provide payroll backup support by processing payroll in the absence of the Payroll Officer.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 12 months experience in a payroll or accounts position
  • Understanding of payroll processes and procedures, including tax, superannuation, workers compensation
  • Strong numerical ability and data entry skills with an attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Customer service focus
  • The ability to work cooperatively within a team environment.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience with Roubler payroll platform or similar
  • Qualifications in accounting or finance
