FUNDED SHORT COURSE

Explore what it’s like to work in Early Childhood Education and Care!

Ever thought about working with children but didn’t want to jump in the deep end and apply for a job? This is your chance to give it a try without the commitment. Sign up today for our FREE 5 week introductory course! Participants are required to attend face-to-face study sessions every Tuesday (9:30am – 3:30pm) at the ECTARC Warrawong office (behind Harvey Norman). Work placement will be undertaken every Wednesday in a service.

👉 Course will commencement on Tuesday 29 October 2024.
🥪 Lunch will be provided on first day of the course only.
💻 BYOD – Bring your own device.

🥳 Completion date 26 November 2024 (5 weeks)

ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must:

✅ be 18 years old or over
✅ be no longer at school
✅ be living or working in NSW
✅ be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
✅ be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen
✅ hold a current Working With Children Check or be willing to obtain one prior to the 5 week course.

This free pre-employment course is an entry level early childhood education and care course that provides participants with an opportunity to undertake a program that may lead to traineeships or future employment with ECTARC Early Childhood Services and CatholicCare Wollongong.  This course is supported by the NSW Government and funded under Smart and Skilled.
