Our Service

Wallaroo offers a natural, home-like environment where children feel safe, comfortable and inspired to learn. With three indoor and two outdoor learning spaces, children engage with thoughtful, curiosity-rich resources every day. Our natural surroundings support learning through exploration, sensory play and connection with the environment.

The 0–2 years room is a spacious, light-filled area with large windows and its own outdoor space, surrounded by trees and shrubs for a calm, nurturing atmosphere. The 2–3 and 3–5 years rooms share a large natural outdoor environment featuring a wooden deck, sandpit, veggie garden, rope swing and rope ladder—perfect for active, imaginative and adventurous play.

0-2 years room

Our dedicated 0-2 years room ensures babies and toddlers are safe and free to explore, with smaller group sizes that support nurturing relationships, meaningful engagement, and personalised care that follows each child’s individual needs and routines.

2-3 years room

Our 2-3 years room is a language-rich environment where communication and early language development are a strong focus. Children in this age group are curious, active explorers who thrive on building, experimenting and imaginative play, and this dedicated room is created to meet those needs.

3-5 years room

In our 3-5 years room, children become increasingly independent, take on real responsibilities and engage in challenging play and learning experiences. They collaborate with friends and help shape the program through their own interests. Together, these opportunities create an environment that nurtures the skills and confidence needed for a positive transition to school.

How our team can support your child

Wallaroo provides an inclusive environment that welcomes all children and their families.  We ensure the program meets the developmental needs of each child, with a holistic approach ensuring that all children are truly integrated into our program.  We welcome our connections with families and external agencies and use their knowledge and skills to inform our program and practice.

Transition to School program

At ECTARC, we ensure a smooth and confident transition to primary school by fostering essential skills in social development, independence, and early literacy and numeracy. Our play-based learning approach encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and resilience, helping children develop the confidence they need for their next big step. As part of preparing children for school, our educators are skilled in 3a Abecedarian approach which provides strategies that foster children’s language development from early childhood to preschool.
