Our service

We have separate indoor and outdoor play spaces for 0 to 3 years and 3 to 5 year olds.

We welcome babies into our service, providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment tailored to their needs. Our purpose-built facilities include two cot rooms for babies to rest and sleep peacefully, age-appropriate play spaces, and engaging resources to support their development.

Our natural environment supports children’s learning through exploration and sensory play.  We use our large, leafy, green outdoor garden and play area to offer a variety of gardening projects, focusing on lessening our carbon footprint while leading to a sustainable future.

Our educators

Our highly qualified and experienced educators are dedicated to providing exceptional education and care for your child. With a deep understanding of early childhood development, our team creates a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to thrive. Their passion for fostering growth and learning ensures your child receives the highest standard of care, laying the foundation for a bright future.

Documenting your child’s learning and experiences

Story Park is a cloud-based application that is specifically designed to allow parents and teachers to collaborate and communicate together on a daily basis with ease.  Get a sneak peek into your child’s day with photos, observations, and interactions to talk about at home!

How our team can support your child

At ECTARC Short Street, our early childhood educators apply the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF V.02) to create meaningful, play-based learning experiences that support each child’s development and well-being. Children are empowered to take an active role in decision-making, skill-building, play, and discovery in a safe environment.

Our educators follow “Circle of Security/Attachment Theory” practices to ensure every child feels secure, valued, and protected. This strong foundation fosters confidence, maximises their potential, and respects their family, cultural backgrounds, identities, and languages.

Transition to School program

At ECTARC, we ensure a smooth and confident transition to primary school by fostering essential skills in social development, independence, and early literacy and numeracy. Our play-based learning approach encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and resilience, helping children develop the confidence they need for their next big step.  With the support of our experienced educators, your child will enter school equipped with a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
