About the Service

ECTARC Clipper Road is a 40-place service providing early childhood education and care for children from birth to school age in Nowra. Clipper Road is ideally located amongst community hubs and schools within Worrigee and East Nowra areas.

We have a strong commitment to ongoing learning and acknowledge the traditional owners of the land specifically the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups and have strong authentic relationships with our local families, Elders and community.  Our program in every aspect is enhanced by the participation of families and community.

Our team is experienced in facilitating innovative programs for all children, including those with complex needs and are supported by strong partnerships with local early intervention agencies, family and community services and Government departments.

ECTARC Clipper Road is engaged with the University of Wollongong under the Early Start Program, providing sector leading professional development and resources for service leaders and educators.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to be a part of the service leadership group to lead a team who is committed to providing the best possible outcomes for young children.

As the Educational Leader you will lead and support pedagogical practice across the service to deliver innovative educational and inclusive programs for young children.

This role requires a teacher who can establish and nurture strong relationships with the team, children and their families and the wider community including Aboriginal Elders, schools, other early childhood and family organisations .

This is an opportunity for you to work in an organisation who values your experience and skills and will provide ongoing support for you to strengthen your professional knowledge and practice.

At ECTARC you will be supported by an experienced Early Childhood Coordinator and a network of Management and Educational Leaders. In addition, you will have access to professional development opportunities, coaching and mentoring to support your growth professionally.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree in Early Childhood Education
  • NESA Early Childhood Teacher Accreditation
  • A Working with Children Check clearance number
  • Current approved first aid qualification for early education and care HLTAID004
  • Completed an approved child protection Statement of Attainment
  • Demonstrated ability within the role of Responsible Person
  • Demonstrated professional level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current early childhood theories and practice & children’s services legislation
  • Demonstrated high level of ethical and professional behaviour including collaboration & confidentiality
  • A commitment to practicing ECTARC values everyday
  • Strong commitment to your own professional learning

Desirable Criteria:

  • ECTARC employees are vaccinated for COVID-19 and are strongly encouraged to obtain an available booster dose as they become available.
